Job Description Whizdom are currently looking for Data Engineers with experience in Data Warehousing & ETL Development to join our client in Canberra or Sydney. You will be responsible for unlocking the value of data by managing, transforming and operationalising data for use by business areas. This includes the development and sustainment of data pipelines utilising Enterprise Data Platforms. Major Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain data engineering solutions in SQL and Python. • Build tooling and techniques which are well tested, documented and provide consistency in data engineering approaches. • Fuse data sources using various data pre-processing techniques such as transformation, integration, normalisation, and feature extraction to create useful data structures. • Carry out data quality checking and remediation • Develop technical documentation and track work in collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA. Location: This role is a Canberra, ACT or Sydney, NSW based role. Contract terms: 12 months with 2x 12 month extensions. Security Requirements: Candidates require an active TSPV clearance, (or have had one downgraded in the past 12 months) to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.
