Due to continued growth and expansion in the business, we are currently taking applications for Senior Electrical Engineers to join our client’s team with in the Oil and Gas sector. - Start: ASAP - 12 months work - 2:2 roster - Construction Brownfields project - Point of hire WA - Excellent rates $$$ on offer - Superannuation paid on all hours Duties & Responsibilities include: Responsible for site based engineering support with primary focus on all onshore electrical design engineering scope reporting to site construction lead. Responsible for resolution of site Electrical Technical Queries / RFI’s collaborating with construction contractors and owner's team to ensure installation work progresses as per project schedule. Ensure that electrical designs and site modifications meets BU specifications and applicable Codes/Standards. Collaborate with Perth based engineering team to progress site work and resolve queries Lead site engineering interfaces with construction contractors for effective planning and coordination of Electrical Brownfield Tie ins in coordination with Electrical Package Lead and site execution team. Provide electrical engineering support for RLMUs, ITRs, PSSRs, MOCs Lead site Electrical site TMOCs and to manage MOC interfaces with Perth Support contractor construction Workpack reviews and approval process. Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture. Liaise as required with other discipline engineers, site based Electrical maintenance/operation team and operation support team, HESQ, Logistics, QA/QC, Construction, contracts et al. for day-to-day issues and support. Report to Electrical Package Lead with technical issues, options and suggested resolutions to any site raised engineering issues and vendor packages related issues. Qualifications and requirements: Minimum 10 years’ working experience with Oil & Gas, or similar industry, required. Engineering Degree or equivalent Previous brownfield tie-in and high voltage distribution system execution is preferred. A strong working knowledge of the related engineering disciplines such as mechanical, civil / structural, and instrumentation is beneficial. The following skills will be advantageous for the candidate: Experience with Management of change processes. Past site rotational position supporting construction/commissioning scopes. Specific experience with brownfield extension of HV and MV Switchgear, installation and testing of Power and Distribution Transformers, MV/LV switchgears testing, MV Emergency Diesel Generators, Power Management System (PMS), Substation building installation and pre-commissioning, HV/MV/LV Power cables installation in a brownfield environment. Construction and commissioning experience with HV (Up to 132kV rating) GIS equipment and associated services and protection systems. Greenfield and Brownfield experience with Power Management system - SCADA and PowerMax (Generator control and Load Shedding), preferably with SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories) system.
