Due to our growing pipeline of projects we are seeking to appoint a motivated Civil / Project Engineer to support our busy team, currently undertaking studies on major projects within the WA market, across mining and mineral processing, bulk materials handling, defence, and water projects. As a Civil / Project Engineer in our Energy and Industrial Team in our Perth office, you will enjoy working on a variety of large and small projects, and ‘bringing ideas to life’ for our Clients. This role offers a good mix of civil engineering design and project management. We aspire to be a trusted partner to our preferred clients, working across the whole infrastructure asset lifecycle, advising on investments and decisions that drive value and proactively respond to disruptive change. We know that the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take concurrent projects through their entire life cycle Assist with turning early concepts and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction Preparation of work scopes, tendering and procurement. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods, including written analyses and reports Collaborate with other disciplines to produce high-quality project deliverables for technically complex designs Apply a working knowledge of relevant engineering legislation and standards as they apply to individual projects. Provide input to project planning and resourcing activities Help to grow our Civil capability and reach in the Energy and Resources sector Provide support to client in the execution of their projects, and assist colleagues to develop and maintain existing Client relationships Utilise Aurecon project delivery methodology to achieve safe, cost effective and timely solutions for our clients We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets. What can you bring to the team? Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging problems and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. To be successful in this position you will have: A relevant technical qualification 2-5 years industry experience Experience within the WA resources sector is preferable Project experience (suited to your career status) at all phases of a project's life cycle and particularly concept design, feasibility studies, infrastructure studies, technical management and Design Management. Willingness to apply technical skills to all facets of engineering consultancy which may include design, leadership, management, client relationship management and work winning Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey civil engineering outcomes with suitable language that can be understood by clients, stakeholders and other engineering disciplines Solid time management and organisational skills Desire to contribute, grow and develop the capability and experience of the civil and industrial team whilst progressing your own career development Diversity is at the core of everything we do.
