The role To help us deliver on our mandate and strategic priorities, our Enterprise Data Solutions team is looking to hire a Cloud Solutions Engineer to join the Information Technology Team within the Technology and Data Division. The Cloud Solutions Engineer is responsible for the engineering and implementation to extend cloud and hybrid cloud solutions for APRA. You will use your extensive experience in delivering robust solutions with automation being the preferred approach, to allow rapid and repeatable deployments across multiple environments. The team The role is a member of the APRA Technology & Data Division (T&D) reporting to the Data Application Manager. The Technology and Data Division supports APRA with frameworks, technology and systems that support APRA’s data and technology operations and its mandate to help protect Australian community through data enabled decision making. Key responsibilities Be part of the end-to-end lifecycle of pieces of work; Working in collaboration with all stakeholders, including product teams, core infrastructure and architecture; Take high-level customer/business requirements and translate them into cost effective solutions; Deliver cloud development, integration, automation, migration through DevOps practices and tools to meet business and Information Technology needs (investigation, technical design, effort estimations, delivery, maintenance); Maintaining and developing cloud development standards supported by quality assurance processes in line with business needs, security requirements; Implementing and maintaining cloud operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis to ensure service, cost optimisation, security, and best practice operations; Assisting with the successful completion of projects, and where required, the support of production environments; Mentor other developers/testers in the team on best practice; Addressing issues raised by other developers and business end-users; Review business requirements and provide feedback and guidance on how cloud solutions can meet those requirements; Collaborate with Program and Project Managers in the management of project risks; Develop documentation which outlines diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, etc; Design and architecture of solutions to meet client requirements and deliver business benefits; Deliver well-designed, accurate and complete solutions to APRA’s business stakeholders; and Produce solutions that adhere to timeframe and resource constraint requirements to support achievement of business unit objectives. About You Proven experience with Azure Cloud Services and Various Services like Azure AD, Compute, Networking, Storage and Databases, Azure Landing Zone, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Sentinel; Proven experience in designing systems integration solutions Dara, Applications & API driven integration patterns; Expertise in scripting languages (PowerShell preferred); Knowledge on GIT in maintaining source code repositories; Must have experience in an Azure DevOps environment, process optimisation, process automation, building pipelines, etc; Experience working in an agile team – Kanban and Scrum frameworks; Experience with migration projects from on-perm data sources to cloud; Break issues down into their components as a means of assessing problems and risks; Is proactive in identifying current and potential problems and provides timely factual and logical solutions; Proven experience driving end to end delivery of solutions; Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills; 5 years design experience with Microsoft cloud; and Azure certification would be beneficial To work with us, you will need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security Clearance.
