What You Will Achieve Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the management and expansion of manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time. As an Electrical and Automation Project Engineer, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. How You Will Achieve It Working on major capital projects at the PGS Melbourne sterile injectable (SI) manufacturing facility, the Electrical and Automation Project Engineer is accountable for engineering oversight of the electrical and automation scope from inception to implementation according to the CPA agreed timings. Expansion of the sites new Siemens PCS7 DCS system to replace obsolete systems on site and ensure the system is built and designed to Pfizer requirements. Responsible for prioritising and managing their workload and communicating any issues, constraints or challenges with the automation manager or managing change control authoring and execution. Work with the project team and lead design reviews related to electrical and automation scope, including design, implementation/commissioning and operation related to projects to ensure delivery of appropriate, reliable, compliant and safe functionality through to commercial manufacture. Work within the project team to engage with design consultants, construction managers and sub-contractors to develop, review, install and finalise project scope. Complete feasibility reviews, business case development, project cost book inputs, detailed design, involvement in CPA processes and procurement, liaising with contractors, suppliers, internal customers and management/overview of specific project tasks. Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support. Qualifications Must-Have Degree, Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Electrical or Automation Engineering from a recognized institution 3 years of demonstrated experience in Automation and/or Electrical Engineering Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents Experience on Automation Compliance projects A good understanding of the purpose, design and function of the following technologies: SCADA, PLC systems infrastructure (Equipment/Automation industrial communication) Network Infrastructure (network devices, TCP/IP communications) Electrical Infrastructure(Low Voltage, Power Supplies, UPS, Circuit Breakers,) Remote IO (Discrete Analogue/Digital signals, VFDs, Valves ) Strong knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities Nice-to-Have Master's degree Relevant pharmaceutical and/or food experience Siemens PCS7 experience Electrical license Digital system knowledge.
