Network and Security Engineer — North Sydney, North Sydney Area

$120,000 - $130,000 per annum base super bonus. The Network and Security Engineer will maintain, upgrade and provide support for Network and Security infrastructure and supporting applications. The Network and Security Engineer needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be reasonably available to respond to production issues and customer escalations promptly. The applicant should be able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to various levels of the business, both staff and management, who possess varying degrees of technical knowledge; as well as work with individuals in all departments to help solve their technical issues. The Network and Security Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the network and security infrastructure, including firewalls, back up, anti-virus, maintain architecture solution design documentation, configuration documentation and procedures. The ideal candidate will be part of a high performing technology team with a very positive culture focused on providing a great technology experience to customer, partners and team members. The candidate is expected to display very good interpersonal skills as the individual will interact with colleagues from various departments up to executive levels and must have very good communication skills. The ideal candidate is required to have good business acumen, listen to customers, partners and team members to better understand their technical needs, and implement safe and secure solutions in timely manner.
