An opportunity for a Data Engineer to join a market leading company, building a market leading product targeting a global market A scaling Australian company is expanding their Data Engineering team as they look to capitalise on both local and offshore growth opportunities. You’ll work on the modern AWS data stack and receive all the benefits and perks of being in a market-leading (service AND culture-wise) company. As the new Data Engineer, you’ll be collaborating with a variety of tech teams and working closely with stakeholders to deliver great products on your own roadmap to success. You’ll have a strong drive to ensure the products you develop to make life easier for customers, as well as strive to ensure that the team stays hungry and at the forefront of innovation. Your role will see you improving and maintaining current systems, setting up and ensuring best practices are followed and acting as a go-to for any technical direction or mentorship. As mentioned above, you’ll be collaborating with other technical teams, especially regarding functionality and data flows within the product and building quality ETL pipelines and tools for effective and correct data ingestion. What You’re Bring: Strong AWS technology experience, including S3, EC2, Redshift and others. Solid understanding and experience with Big Data, ideally Apache Spark or Kafka. Experience with Postgre database systems, as well as NoSQL Experience with any of the following – SQL, Python OR Scala Previous working experience with Docker or Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD tools and processes.
