We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to take on a team leadership role based in Wagga Wagga where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering engineering design services. You will mentor junior team members, manage complex civil projects, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including external consultants, contractors, and public authorities. Key Responsibilities: Implement best practice engineering design principles and standards. Innovate and share new design solutions within the team. Lead and oversee design services for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater drainage, and flood mitigation. Supervise Design Engineers, Drafting Officers, and Surveyors to produce high-quality drawings. Prepare preliminary estimates, reports, and presentations. Manage databases and electronic record systems effectively. Engage in consultations with various stakeholders and manage engineering design services contracts. Mentor Graduate and Design Engineers, providing development opportunities. You will be a tertiary qualified engineer (Civil or similar) with a demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects in a government, contractor or consulting environment. Coupled with you design experience you will have leadership experience mentoring and guiding junior staff as well as providing support to senior management. Experience in civil design works including roads, sewer and stormwater will be well regarded as well as a practical understanding of 12D, Civil 3D and AutoCAD).
