About the role: Lead in design, architecture adoption, and coding best practices while guiding teams with evidence-based problem-solving. Ensure alignment with broader Technology Strategy by working closely with Enterprise Architecture. Champion and enforce software engineering best practices and effective governance. Oversee technology and tooling for innovative product development across new and existing platforms. Collaborate with business users to analyse requirements and document solution options, considering long-term impacts. Mentor development teams and ensure adherence to best practices, delivering stable and scalable software solutions. Enhance security through better practices, collaborating with the Cyber Security team to mitigate risks and stay updated on evolving threats. Continuously improve development processes and platforms, sharing knowledge of new technologies and best practices within the team. Technical background: Solid .NET and/or Java knowledge. Extensive experience in designing and developing software systems that are highly available, scalable, and reliable. Experience leveraging AWS native services to build software solutions. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka and RabbitMQ. Location: HQ’d in the CBD there’s a true flexible hybrid working policy.
