About the Role The City of Ryde is looking for a passionate junior traffic engineer to join its Traffic Services team. In this role you will undertake investigations on traffic, parking, transport, road safety and technical assessments. You will consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure traffic and parking is managed to meet the Council’s objectives. Your commencing annual salary will be up to $80,760.71 superannuation , dependent on your experience and qualifications. About You To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications, be excellent time manager, customer focused, energetic and enthusiastic, team player, be able to resolve traffic and transport-related problems, understand and apply regulations, policies, and guidelines, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and negotiate with key stakeholders. Key Requirements Degree in Engineering (Civil) or other relevant discipline. One to two years of experience related to traffic engineering. Current (NSW or interstate) Driver’s Licence. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Good level of computer literacy skills in particular with MS software and computer aided design software. Good time management skills.
