City of Newcastle (CN) is currently seeking a highly capable Asset Engineer – Buildings to support the Assets and Facilities team in a permanent, full-time capacity. This position provides engineering advice on the City’s infrastructure matters for Council owned buildings, bridges, retaining walls, and structures and their integration with other assets of CN. As the successful candidate, you'll investigate, assess and recommend solutions for infrastructure matters, including the development of business cases, project briefs, project scoping documents and contract documentation. A key focus of this position is to develop Asset Renewal, New Infrastructure Programs and funding strategies to resource large multiyear infrastructure projects, or projects that require internal and external funding sources.
