About the Role Our System Engineer will work within our Product Management team to contribute to our competitive positioning to develop product strategies and roadmaps. The role can be either Part time (4 days week) or Full time Responsibilities Assist Product Managers in writing product concepts, technical requirements and other documents in support of product development activities Work with stakeholders to elicit and refine requirements, including clients, other product team members and the Tradecraft team Perform ongoing product user testing to ensure compliance with concepts and requirements Work closely with the developers/engineering manager across the whole SDLC to clarify and identify any requirement’s gaps Analyse current state to of the products to help define future state needs Produce documentation of results and findings, with the ability to interpret and present back to the business. Manage our ongoing vendor relationships, evaluate new vendors, and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements Maintain pricing and quoting tools for use by sales team Engage and communicate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, sales, finance etc.) to gather valuable insights for pricing strategies Requirements: Australian cirizenship, due to national security clearance requirement Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM areas 5 years’ experience as a System Engineer working across technical business analysis, product management or other related roles Advanced level of Excel skills Strong skills across problem-solving, logic and research Strong organisation skills, detail orientated, and a collaborative team player Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present and discuss complex information, analysis, and findings Experience within a few of the below areas: Consumer facing, complicated web-apps or products Trade studies of technology providers Identifying integration and API requirements Vendor selection and management Maintaining software contracts, license terms and negotiation Development of licensing models for cloud software About Fivecast Fivecast is a world-leading provider of cutting-edge digital intelligence solutions.
