Based in Brisbane, Queensland, you will support the capital works program for the Lihir gold mine in Papua New Guinea. Working in a key engineering service contract, the focus of your role will be an integral role in our team, bringing your knowledge insight and passion for delivering quality and efficiency for our clients developments will be to create delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio, provide certainty and confidence to the client and maintain robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk. As part of the new contract with Newmont, Wood will provide consulting and engineering services to enhance the safe and efficient processing of gold across various stages of the project lifecycle including the delivery of concept and feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction management services. About You This opportunity is looking for those who are interested in building their engineering careers in resources sector, ready to take on their next challenge working with global leading large-scale projects & portfolio engineering support for sustaining capital work programs. You will also have: - Tertiary engineering qualifications from a recognised university within Electrical Engineering Experienced Project Engineer, who has worked across portfolio/multiple package management Prior experience on site with exposure to brownfield packages, depth of knowledge in operations across process and NPI infrastructure. Those with experience in wet plant processing facilities would be desired not essential. Experienced in the coordination of multi discipline activities to meet project objectives/timelines, whilst being aware of commercial contractual requirements. Passionate about aligning client/project needs in partnership with Wood Project Management principals. Knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices; following project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution. Ability to lead and mentor internal and external stakeholders to reach project deliverables whilst working in a dynamic and agile environment Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.
