THE COMPANY: This company is a high-profile and well-known ASX-listed Financial Services firm who employ approx. 1400 staff and operate a critical high availability large-scale global network. Hybrid working available - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. ROLE SNAPSHOT: Network Engineer responsible to monitor, interpret & respond to network monitoring alerts; contribute to network compliance; and improve network automation. Work alongside a talented and collaborative team on a complex and large-scale HA network. Responsibilities include: Manage network monitoring tools (SolarWinds) to observe, interpret, and respond to network alerts. Action network incidents & alerts. Notify collaborate with internal teams & external vendors to action alerts. Enhancement & automation of monitoring/alerts. Contribute to the enhancement of IT compliance within network monitoring tools. Collaborate and communicate with internal teams, vendors, and external customers. Network Capacity Planning. Multi-vendor environment: SolarWinds, Arista CloudVision, Grafana, Graylog. Hybrid working. REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES: Suitable for a Network Engineer with extensive SolarWinds experience and deep understanding around network monitoring & alerts. Automation experience (preferably Python) is required. The following is required: Extensive network monitoring experience with SolarWinds. Proven experience monitoring & actioning network alerts and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to resolve network incidents. Competent network automation experience (Python, Ansible etc) Arista CloudVision / Grafana / Graylog experience is beneficial. Experience developing metrics for network availability, compliance, and capacity planning. Relevant certifications - CCNP Strong sense of ownership, accountability and taking the initiative. Display logical problem-solving & troubleshooting skills. Friendly & approachable team player. This is a full-time permanent role in the Sydney CBD (hybrid working) that is offering $150,000 - $160,000 (including super) bonus potential.
