As our Head of Security Engineering reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy, overseeing the selection and implementation of new security platforms and controls, and ensuring the smooth operation and effectiveness of our security tools and technologies. A few of your responsibilities: Lead the security engineering team in designing, testing, and deploying new security platforms and controls. Oversee the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of existing security tools and technologies. Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organisation. Manage the security engineering team budget and resources effectively. Mentor and develop the skills of your direct reports. What we are looking for: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in security engineering or a related role. Proven track record of leading and mentoring security engineering teams. Strong understanding of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls). In-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM etc.), focusing on Cloud-based security solutions. Experience with security automation and orchestration tools and familiarity with or experience in leveraging AI for security purposes is a plus About you: You are a hands-on cybersecurity engineer with extensive experience in implementing and managing security tools for operations. Known for your innovative approach, you consistently find creative solutions to complex problems. Highly self-sufficient, you thrive in dynamic environments and can think outside the box to ensure robust security measures are in place. Your ability to balance technical expertise with strategic thinking makes you an invaluable asset to any team. Your role will be pivotal in driving impactful outcomes and shaping future solutions by testing, researching, and gaining a deep understanding of our current tools, you'll ensure we are utilising the best resources to equip our team in preventing cyber threats effectively.
