Permanent role Sydney based Be part of Business Lending Technology team. How will I help? As the Senior Engineer, your responsibilities include. Work effectively individually and with team members towards customer satisfaction and success. Experience and Knowledge of Agile and Scrum Process and coordinate with distributed teams Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos. Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner. Abide by team coding standards, development processes and best practices. Design and develop solutions from the vision, down to the application and infrastructure architecture level. Contribute to the transformation and evolution of our enterprise architecture. Pro-actively define new measures to meet business needs, improve efficient, and improve agility. Identify opportunities to leverage group capabilities, shared domain capabilities for projects within the Business Lending landscape. Identify design issues that could impact other services within domain and proposing common design. Recognize opportunities to increase agility and reduce costs and risks for design affecting not only at project but also across domain level. Lead and participate in problem solving to deliver large scale change through process engineering, technology, and people engagement. Lead the technical design process coordinating the various stakeholders from business and towards an agreed solution. What’s in it for me? To be successful in this Senior Engineer role, you will have the following skills: 4 years of experience in application development using multiple technologies using Java, J2EE, Hibernate, EJB, Web Services, XML, REST, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Web Sphere and IBM FileNet 5.1 and BAW. Exposure to the financial industry preferably banking but not essential. 4 years of experience in application design and solution with integration with complex downstream systems. 4 API design and development experience for Microservices Experience with systems development (Agile and Waterfall), support and maintenance and experience with systems integration. Analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills Full web technology stack (e.g HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading/caching Experience in TDD. Shell scripting and Java experience (Hibernate, Spring and Spring Boot) Relational databases experience in design and development (SQL and Oracle) Experience with systems development, support and maintenance, with experience with systems integration Knowledge of CS including responsive design, grid patterns and modern web forms. Require JS/Common JS modules. AWS development experience (EC2, ELB, Kinesis, S3, Lambda, RDS) DevOps experience (AWS, Ansible and Jenkins) Experience in delivering major business solutions into production within multiple project teams. Strong communication and inter-personal skills. Tertiary level qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline What’s it like to work there?
