The Solution Engineer role provides the technical expertise and dedicated technical focus required to deliver on Westpac’s next generation technology capabilities including data analytics, platform development, specialised application development, systems and processes. This role will operate predominantly in an Agile environment and such will be required to support the technology capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers. What’s in it for me? Strong experience with software development and applications system design Proven experience in understanding activities required to solve a problem Experience providing quality review of code and leading quality control initiatives Demonstrated significant experience with Teradata (SQL, Utilities, Architecture) Hands on experience with Unix Scripting. Strong data background ideally with systems experience working on Data Warehouse and big data platform. Analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills using an open, clear and engaging manner Experience working in banking industry is desirable What’s it like to work there?
