Annual salary $147,074 - $165,011 plus 15.4% Super depending on experience The team Information Technology Services provides a wide range of IT facilities and support services to ASIC. We are embarking on major technology projects that will transform our business and continue our significant technology transformation in several areas such as virtualisation, mobility and cloud. We make use of the latest technology with an increasing focus on data sharing and analytics which will make ASIC a 'best in class' regulator supporting the Australian financial markets. The role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our high-performing technology team. You will: Master the complexities of our cutting-edge hybrid environments, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance Spearhead technical leadership by establishing and evolving operational standards that keep ASIC at the forefront of technology Be a driving force in successful ASIC infrastructure initiatives, contributing your expertise to high-impact projects that shape the future of financial regulation Champion cybersecurity by proactively managing vulnerabilities and owning the lifecycle management patching process within our Information Security Management framework Thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling project and routine workloads with tight deadlines and demanding service levels Proactively monitor our infrastructure, perform vital health checks, and provide expert ITSM support to keep our systems running smoothly Orchestrate change activities within the ITIL framework, ensuring seamless maintenance and continuous improvement of our IT environment Analyse and resolve intricate hardware and software issues across diverse platforms, including VMware/vSphere, NetApp, HPE, and Brocade Provide expert technical support across a range of technologies, including Windows and cloud services, ensuring seamless operation and integration Contribute your insights and expertise to the design and architecture of our evolving IT landscape Maintain meticulous capacity and inventory data, conducting trend analysis to proactively optimize our systems for maximum efficiency Where necessary, provide essential after-hours support, ensuring uninterrupted system availability and rapid response to critical incidents Technologies with ASIC; Azure, AWS, Microsoft Windows, VMware, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE, SCCM, SCOM, Puppet, Octopus, NetBackup, Airlock Digital, Azure DevOps more cloud technologies About you Relevant tertiary IT qualifications and/or industry experience and certifications Demonstrated experience administering Windows environment to include Active Directory, Windows Server, CA, RDS, ADFS in a corporate environment Working knowledge of data protection and DR site models Experience managing with MS SQL Server and Always on failover clusters preferred VMWare Platform experience required Storage platforms (NetApp/Hitachi), experience preferrable Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure is essential An understanding of DevOps (CICD) and automation tools, such as Puppet and Infrastructure as code Experience in working in a ITIL framework Experience reviewing and providing feedback on solution designs Experience configuring and administration of high availability environments and services Competence to lead, mentor and train team members and graduate candidates About ASIC ASIC's remit is one of the broadest of regulators across the world.
