How will I help? We offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer within the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within the Technology division. This position will work closely with the customer engagement team, network architecture team, engineering, build and run teams. This position is responsible for providing expert technical services in relation to implementing, managing, operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure. The core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Lead the operations and provide troubleshooting and analyse technical problems on all types of networked services, equipment, and devices in the environment. Participates in Major Incident Management activities, identifying network performance issues and trends. (e.g., Identifies failing network components, tracing of network traffic). Coordinates resolution activities with IT groups across systems and platforms (e.g. Firewall Team), so they occur in sync Monitors alarms, opens corresponding tickets, diagnoses, resolves, documents the issue, takes escalations from junior engineers and escalates as needed. Provide detailed design and technical review of network changes, including the troubleshooting of any network related issues. Develop and influence relationships with all stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact for Technical Consultations to ensure customer requirements are understood and outcomes delivered meet the needs of the customer. Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet networking standards. Drafting and co-ordination of change implementation plans. Implementation of network changes required to deliver a strategic design outcome. Provide on-call support on a periodic, rostered basis What’s in it for me? To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills, education & personal attributes. Essential: Excellent written and verbal communications skills are mandatory. Strong ownership mindset and a great attitude. Strong technical knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (BGP,OSPF,STP,NXOS,N9K) Strong technical knowledge a of DNS, DHCP and IPAM - Infoblox Infrastructure In-depth technical networking experience – 5 years Prior work experience in large organizations supporting complex networks – 5 years. Prior work experience in large organizations supporting network operations – 5 years. Operations on-call responsibility on a periodic, rostered basis. Highly Desirable: Strong technical knowledge in VxLAN EVPN or related overlay technology. Strong understanding of Cloud networking Azure/AWS Good understanding of Automation platforms (Python,PyATS,Jenkins,ROBOT Framework) Good understanding of Orchestration platforms (NDFC,DCNM) Vendor certification: CCNP or CCIE Good technical knowledge of Firewalls (Juniper high-end SRX, CheckPoint, Fortinet, NSX) Desirable: An understanding of ITIL processes (particularly change management) and ServiceNow in a large enterprise. Strong technical knowledge of Load Balancing (F5 – LTM, GTM, APM, ASM), Crypto PKI and DNS Experience working in the financial services sector What is it like to work there?
