Cloud Infrastructure Platform Support Specialist with expertise in managing and supporting multi-cloud environments, specifically GCP About the Role We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Platform Support Specialist to join our Service Operations and Infrastructure Group. In this critical role, you will work closely with business customers, IT departments, service providers, and strategic partners. Your primary responsibility will be providing hands-on technical expertise in cloud infrastructure platform support and overseeing the operational health of our multi-cloud environment, particularly focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key Responsibilities Multi-Cloud Implementation: Collaborate with various digital and non-digital teams to manage multi-cloud environments. Operational Oversight: Maintain and support the Google Cloud Platform and key supporting services ensuring platform stability and availability. Service Management: Oversee ITIL service operations, including risk and issue management, incident response, problem resolution, availability, and change management. Continuous Improvement: Drive continual service improvements within the multi-cloud platforms, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to IT service management disciplines. Service Transition: Manage the transition of new and modified services into business-as-usual (BAU) operations. Customer Service: Maintain a strong culture of customer service and satisfaction, being responsive to customer needs and proactive to business and technical requirements. Escalation Management: Handle hierarchical and process-related escalations efficiently. Collaboration: Work with an offshore team of four members to ensure smooth operations and support. What You Will Bring CLOUD Expertise: Extensive experience managing services that scale on public cloud, specifically GCP but open to AWS or Azure. DevOps Practices: Strong knowledge of DevOps best practices and architectural patterns. Enterprise Experience: Proven experience in large-scale enterprise environments and multi-sourced environments. Platform Management: Relevant experience in enterprise cloud platform management or support. Project Lifecycle Management: Experience in managing the project lifecycle and transitioning services to BAU operations. Security Understanding: Robust understanding of cloud security principles and practices. Technical Skills: Proficiency in coding, troubleshooting, and implementing optimizations.
