Your Story with Us As a Senior Platform Engineer , you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling Safewill’s development and operational infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to automate, optimise, and enhance our deployment pipelines while building robust, secure, and scalable systems that support rapid growth. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, improve developer experience, and ensure high availability of our platform. Over the next 6–12 months, you will: Mature Developer Pipelines Streamline and optimise CI/CD pipelines to increase efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and accelerate delivery of high-quality code. Automate workflows and processes to enable seamless integration and deployment for our growing engineering team. Build Scalable and Reliable Infrastructure Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring high availability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to security best practices. Implement scalable tools and infrastructure that support the growth of our platform and development teams. Enhance Developer Experience Improve developer workflows and support efficient software development by providing self-service tools, platforms, and documentation. Introduce and maintain monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools to improve system reliability and team productivity. Your Skills We’re looking for a hands-on problem solver with a solid foundation in platform engineering and an eagerness to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will bring: Proven Linux administration experience (6 years). Expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and networking tools (HAProxy, ALB). Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred). Solid understanding of networking concepts (switching, routing, TCP stack) and web technologies. Scripting skills in at least one language (Shell, Python, etc.). Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform). Knowledge of configuration management tools (Saltstack, Puppet, Ansible, etc.). Familiarity with identity and access management solutions (e.g. Auth0) and protocols (LDAP, SAML, Kerberos, etc.). Strong understanding of APM tools (Prometheus, NewRelic) and SIEM solutions (SumoLogic, ELK). Experience with DevSecOps practices and information security controls. Experience with setting up and managing data pipelines using tools like Bigquery,Fivetran and Looker.
