Job Overview - Responsibilities and Duties Design, build, and optimise extraction processes to ensure smooth data migration and transformation across systems. Work with business stakeholders to develop data migration logic that meets project-specific requirements. Develop, maintain, and optimise code logic, and other data-processing tools to support reporting and analytics needs. Create and manage reusable codebases for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Troubleshoot and optimise existing scripts and queries for better performance and efficiency Engage with multiple stakeholders across various departments (Business, IT, Actuarial) to understand business needs and provide technical solutions. Manage communication and expectations with non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables. Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment using Confluence and Jira to track progress and manage workflows. Take ownership of assigned tasks, projects, and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results. Identify potential risks and issues early and provide recommendations for solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within data engineering and reporting. Essential Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar role Experience with SQ and Python Familiarity with ETL development and data migration projects.
