Senior Electrical Engineer - RPEQ - perform investigations, analysis, feasibility studies, design, documentation, testing and commissioning. Gladstone YOUR ROLE This role will see you work on numerous projects, providing the investigations, analysis, feasibility studies, design, documentation, testing and commissioning for industrial, utility, and government clients. As a customer-focused professional, you are comfortable working closely with clients, to deliver a range of electrical / power system solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include: Undertake electrical engineering investigations, designs and calculations; prepare engineering documentation Undertake the role of Project Leader for small and medium-sized projects; taking responsibility for meeting budgeted man-hours, project cost budgets and project schedules. Carry out site visits to liaise with clients, gather data, inspect construction or manufacturing progress or perform commissioning tasks RPEQ supervision and sign-off responsibilities in accordance with Qld Legislation. Maintain thorough project records for each project, both paper and electronic, in accordance with company procedures Assist in the preparation of detailed proposals, fee estimates and quotations that fully meet client expectations, as well as minimise risk to the company Mentor and train junior engineers ABOUT YOU Working as part of a focused team, you will have the capability to assist and mentor colleagues with your experience, as required. You will have a positive, yet flexible approach to your day-to-day activities, along with the following technical skills and personal attributes: Electrical Engineering Qualification | RPEQ Certified - Essential Proven electrical design, including earthing design, and experience in an industrial environment Demonstrated Project Management capability Analysis of Power Systems – fault studies, load flows, protection coordination, motor starting transients Industrial power distribution and reticulation – up to 33kv LV and MV motor control and protection Design and specification of MCCs, Switchboards, VFDs, Soft Starters Radio Telemetry Systems knowledge/experience Process Instrumentation – selection and application of instruments Strong problem-solving, fault finding and troubleshooting skills BENEFITS AND CULTURE Our client’s focus and enthusiasm for mentoring and developing their employees, makes them a company you would want to be part of.
