As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be the interface between Project Managers and Project Engineers on major projects to support them through the project life cycle. This role is located in Melbourne and will be based at various project sites (as required) and also have some flexibility to work from home once initial training has been completed. What we offer: Generous salary super Progressive and innovative global company experiencing high growth Employee Referral Bonus Program Salary packaging Corporate discounts on car rentals and IT products/accessories Paid Parental Leave super – 12 weeks for primary carer/2 weeks secondary carer Study assistance & long-term career development opportunities And some other great things to know about us…… Employee engagement is high at 80% in our recent employee survey Average tenure is 8 years, with 12% internal promotions and transfers annually because we actively invest in developing our people A staggering 30% of all new hires are referrals, as our people know it’s a great place to work and recommend it to others Tasks and Qualifications: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES General support to the Project Managers and Project Engineers on large, complex projects Support Project Managers with the timely and accurate project reporting, revenue collection and cash flow planning Support Project Managers with the production and tracking of project documentation eg training documentation, work packages Manage drawing submissions and follow up Raise purchase requisitions, invoice reconciliation and work closely with Procurement Drive project schedules and tracking Client meeting participation, writing minutes Manage specific vendor packages Assist the Site Managers with onsite checks and coordination, quality control and progress checks Assist in the management and coordination of subcontractors Ensure open, regular and effective communication with all project team members Develop tools to enhance project and site process improvements Proactively promote innovation, improvements, risk identification and WH&S ABOUT YOU – WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR As our ideal candidate, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (preferably Mechatronics or Mechanical) Any experience or background working in logistics, warehouse solutions, or warehouse fit outs is highly regarded Experience in a project environment highly regarded AutoCAD experience and knowledge of 2D/3D drawings (ability to interpret drawings and problem solve) Good knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular Excel, MS Project & Power BI Attention to detail and superior organisational skills Mechanical savvy Good communication skills Ability to travel interstate from time to time as needed A permanent role with a competitive salary and excellent long term career opportunities is on offer to the successful candidates.
