Looking for a DevOps Engineer around 2-5 years experience, focussing on a Microsoft environment The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams in order to improve collaboration, integration, and automation across the entire software development lifecycle. This role focuses on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating software deployment, maintaining cloud infrastructure, and ensuring systems run efficiently and securely. To be successful in this role you will have strong Microsoft Experience. Location: Melbourne Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 plus super Role and Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate code builds, testing, and deployments. Work with development and QA teams to ensure smooth integration of code into production environments. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform (preferred), Bicep or Pulumi. Automate manual processes and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently. Deploy and manage cloud services (Azure) for scalability, availability, and cost-efficiency. Monitor cloud resources and optimize their performance, security, and cost. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications. Troubleshoot issues related to system performance, scaling, and infrastructure. Collaborate with software developers and operations teams to ensure streamlined product releases. Facilitate communication between teams to resolve bottlenecks in deployment processes. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices in deployment and infrastructure, including monitoring vulnerabilities and managing access controls. Ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry standards (e.g ISO27001). Requirements Experience with version control systems like Git. Ability to implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc. Knowledge of microservices architecture and deployment strategies. Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog preferred). Well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension and written communication skills. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, Bash, Python) for automation. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
