About the Role As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, mentoring junior team members, and supporting a global customer base. You will work with a variety of technologies, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure the smooth functioning of web applications and platforms. Key Responsibilities Technical Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues for internal and external stakeholders. Incident Management: Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and escalate critical incidents as required. Database Support: Work with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases (or other RDBMS such as SQL Server) to investigate and resolve data-related issues. Development Support: Collaborate with development teams to identify and fix bugs, deploy updates, and improve application performance. Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely updates to users and stakeholders about incidents and resolutions. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for processes, solutions, and application updates. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Application Support Engineer, preferably within a SaaS environment. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Database Expertise: Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL is highly preferred. Experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems will also be considered. Programming Skills: Strong experience in JavaScript is essential. Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
