As a Service Engineer, you'll be trained to install, maintain, and service this advanced technology, making a real impact on customers across a variety of industries. The Role: This is more than just a technical role - it's a chance to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and make a real difference. As a Service Engineer/Technician , you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and calibration of state-of-the-art XRF (X-ray fluorescence) machines across various sites throughout Western Australia . These high-tech instruments are critical to a wide range of industries, making your work essential to their success. A big part of this role will also include preventative maintenance and responding to urgent breakdown calls , ensuring these complex machines stay in top shape for time-sensitive applications. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and performance of critical operations, providing immense job satisfaction as you keep things running smoothly. Key Highlights: Travel across beautiful Western Australia, offering variety and adventure Occasional on-call and weekend work (with attractive compensation for time away) A lifestyle that avoids the typical FIFO grind, with most travel fitting within a standard workweek Work that is both technically challenging and incredibly rewarding , supporting industries where precision and uptime are vital This role offers a unique blend of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and the chance to explore new locations while developing your skills in the scientific instrumentation field. If you're ready for an exciting, impactful role with a lot of variety, this is the opportunity for you The Ideal Candidate: Due to the nature of the work, a strong experience in fault finding down to a component level is necessary. The following are not strictly necessary but would be advantageous: Prior field service experience WA Radiation Safety Licence XRF, XRD or neutron analysis experience This role would really suit someone with a strong electro-mechanical skillset, a passion for finding solutions, and working closely with customers to achieve great results. Specific knowledge of XRF instruments is not required, just a keen desire to learn. What's On Offer: As there are a wide range of potential skill sets, experience and education, a competitive base salary will be offered based on these. To compensate for travel, there is also an additional allowance per day when travelling (which is a major component of the role). Besides the monetary, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience that can be shared with the right candidate.
