Role Overview As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the implementation of mechanical systems within buildings. You will manage client relationships and also mentor and guide junior staff. Key Responsibilities Designing mechanical systems for buildings, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and fire protection. Conducting feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize system efficiency and functionality. Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs. Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Overseeing the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Providing technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. RPEQ or CPeng or eligible Minimum of 10 years experience in mechanical engineering, within the building services industry (consulting) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
