Cairn’s Disaster Recovery works Either local to FNQ or FIFO / accommodation options provided for SEQ resources Leading mid-tier Civil Contractor with strong presence in the industry This favorable national civil contractor is a leading Tier 2 contractor who work within resources, local authorities and main roads projects across Australia. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry, this contactor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads, earthworks, drainage and concrete structures. They have a number of major TMR/BCC roadwork projects valued anywhere between $50M - $400M around Southeast QLD. This project is based in Cairns, Far North Queensland upgrading roads and delivering slope stabilization works. They are currently looking to secure a Quality Engineer or Site Engineer with strong quality assurance management experience on TMR projects. This Engineer will have the opportunity to work for a reputable civil contractor on landmark projects, become apart of the delivery team, working closely with the client. To be successful you must have a minimum of 3 years civil construction experience, ideally across main roads projects for a contractor in similar conditions. Reporting to the Quality Manager your responsibilities will include: Quality Assurance management, ensuring the project is operating in compliance with ISO 9001 Maintaining strong relationships with the client, subcontractors, and stakeholders Monitor and close out work lot documentation and ensure compliance to the project specifications and standards Contribute to and review documentation, including ITPs and NCR’s Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met in line with Government legislations To be successful you must have a proven track record of managing quality assurance across large scale DTMR projects with a principal civil contractor. The successful individual must have at least 3 years civil construction experience including 1 - 2 years on main roads / TMR large scale projects.
