Your why The Domain Engineering Manager at ubank is responsible for independently leading, mentoring, and managing teams of software engineers to deliver business and and customer impact - balancing technical leadership with people management. In this role, you will be providing technical direction in building personalisation solutions for our customers leveraging our Martech stack and data platforms. How You Will Spend Your Time Identify new opportunities for the teams to execute that have the most customer or business impactMaintain clear communication with business stakeholders and the Head of EngineeringCollaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and Designers to refine tasks and manage delivery commitmentsIndependently work with other teams to remove blockers and increase delivery efficiency and cadenceAlign squad goals with organizational objectivesProvide technical guidance and ensure coding standards and best practices are followedIdentify and prioritize technical debt and balance delivery against business prioritiesFoster a culture of continuous improvement which empowers teams to address problemsStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing new concepts and practices to the wider Engineering teamPlan for future capacity needs considering technical dependencies and skill requirementsInvolved in hiring processes and attracting top talent into the organisationManage and define outcomes from team's engagement and put in place a proactive retention strategy What will you bring 8 years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager.Some experience in building customer solutions, acquisitions and personalisation solutions highly regarded Familiarity with CDP/CEP platforms for data driven decision making preferableCome from a technical background, with deep/specialised understanding of the technology stack in an area, with a broad general knowledge of the complete stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure).Proven track record of delivering reliable, performing secure, and cost-effective projects in an agile environment, with competing priorities.Experience in managing cross-functional team and improving organizational technical excellence.Experience delivering benefits through continuous integration and continuous delivery.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including technical writing and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with AWS infrastructure, testing methodologies, security principles and best practices, plus observability and monitoring. Relevant experience, or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS, Agile) are a plus. Why ubank?
