We are currently working with a large Australian organisation who are currently seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security help contribute to their Cyber Security Operations and IAM upliftment. This role is initially on a 6-month engagement with the likelihood of extension and is based out in Macquarie Park. In this role, you will be working on a combination of security operations and project delivery. You will be responsible for implementing and managing security tools like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Tenable, while supporting key initiatives such as the IAM uplift, alignment with the Essential Eight, and improving their overall security position. Key Responsibilities Take the lead on security uplift initiatives, including:Enhancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.Driving alignment with Essential Eight strategies.Conducting comprehensive reviews and improvements of the organization's security environment.Manage and implement security tools and platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Tenable, and other relevant technologies.Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, ensuring the organization maintains a robust and proactive security posture.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align security strategies with business goals and operational needs.Conduct assessments and provide actionable recommendations to improve security controls, frameworks, and governance processes.Document processes, policies, and procedures related to security operations and uplift activities to ensure clarity and consistency. About You Proven experience in security operations and delivering security uplift projects.Hands-on expertise with tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Tenable.Strong understanding of IAM systems and security frameworks like the Essential Eight.Excellent problem-solving skills with an agile and adaptable mindset.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly regarded.
