We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure-Based DevOps Engineer to join this major sporting organisation This is a 12 month, fixed term contract with potential of extension, starting ASAP Paying up to $170k / annum including super The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure cloud services, Terraform, Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines, and Datadog. This role will focus on building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, building and maintaining Terraform modules, and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure Azure cloud infrastructure. Optimize Azure resources for cost and performance. Develop and maintain Terraform for provisioning and managing Azure resources. Including existing and future patterns. Ensure all infrastructure changes are version-controlled and peer-reviewed. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps. Automate the build, test, and deployment processes to ensure fast and reliable software releases. Set up and manage monitoring and alerting solutions using Datadog. Create dashboards, alerts, and reports to monitor system performance and health. Support other teams in their monitoring endeavours. Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software. Provide support for application deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Analyse system performance and implement optimizations to ensure scalability and reliability. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure and applications. Essential skills competencies and experience 3 years of relevant industry experience Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure cloud services. Strong Terraform proficiency for IaC Hands-on experience with Datadog for monitoring and logging. Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration. Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
