About the role We’re seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Civil) to provide engineering advice as directed or via a prescribed standard, conduct minor analysis studies, plan maintenance, and develop feasibility programs to support short and long-term projects within budget . You’ll join an innovative team, who are responsible for the planning, scheduling and efficient execution of annual maintenance works . Day-to-day, you will: Ensure maintenance works are executed in accordance with the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) management plan at all times Apply Civil Engineering principles and practices to the delivery of physical works and maintenance Ongoing management of contractors who perform work on CityLink Collaborate with Project delivery teams to meet maintenance requirements in project initiatives Provide costing and support to deliver the maintenance program within budget and maintain accurate financial records Continuously apply the principles of risk, probability, and consequence to being proactive in mitigating risks to an acceptable level for all Victorian activities Drive continuous improvements in the delivery of HSE throughout all aspects of maintenance delivery This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Engineering qualification in Civil or Structural engineering ( Washington Accord accredited preferred but not mandatory) Demonstrated working experience in a maintenance or engineering role. Any experience with concrete, structures, drainage, pavement or asphalt are highly preferable Engineering Registration is preferred but can be supported for the right candidate Understanding of risk management processes, including Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control assurance in an operational environment Strong organisational and planning skills. Ideally in the form of planning and budgeting maintenance works Skills and ability to develop and foster stakeholder relationships Ability to operate with limited supervision to contribute the success of the business If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
