About the Role As a DevOps Engineer, you will manage and maintain our Azure DevOps collections, configure build and release pipelines, and ensure system performance and reliability. Working closely with development and infrastructure teams, your role will focus on automation, security, and continuous improvement to optimise our systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Azure DevOps Management: Manage software builds, release pipelines, automated tests, and CI/CD processes. Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain scripts using Windows PowerShell, Microsoft SQL Server, and web technologies such as JSON, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and jQuery. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring and alert systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues. Configuration & Deployment: Streamline infrastructure updates, manage IIS setup, and oversee application deployments, including SCCM. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational policies. Documentation & Auditing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes and contribute to audit reporting. Collaboration: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Technical Expertise: A bachelor’s degree in a related IT discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Azure DevOps role, ideally within a large corporate environment. Proficiency in Windows Server, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with MSMQ or similar messaging technologies. Solid knowledge of web technologies (JSON, HTML, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and version control tools (TFVC, Git Repos). Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. A collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships.
