CLOUD ENGINEER Emanate Technology has been selected to partner with a Federal Government Intelligence Agency in supplying teams of skilled resources based in Canberra, ACT. These roles will support the continued growth of this agency on their mission of protecting Australian people. The roles sit across multiple skills compromising of System, Cloud and Data engineering across a variety of SFIA levels. Due to the nature of the client, all roles require you to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN and hold an AGSVA security clearance. All work will be onsite in Canberra with no remote options. This is a unique opportunity to work within the intelligence community, use your skills to contribute to the continued safety of Australia along with working on complex and challenging ICT problems to solve and deliver outcomes in line with the agencies strategy over the coming years. Key Responsibilities/Duties: Manage and administer hybrid cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-tenant solutions Analise existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernised Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards Qualifications/Experience: Minimum three years of Cloud experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimisation Several years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions Proven experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems Proven experience in IaC development such as Terraform, Ansible ,AWS CDK, Azure ARM, and Kubernetes Proven experience scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell Proven experience with GIT to perform source code management Proven experience across a wide range of IT skills including backups, storage, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling Proven leadership experience, with the ability to teach and mentor teammates Desirables: TSPV security clearance is HIGHLY desirable Proven experience in a similar role Ability to work autonomously Personal Qualities: Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment Excellent verbal and written communication Proven ability to work under pressure with a strong focus on project delivery Experience working in small, multi-skilled teams Willingness to learn Security Clearance Requirement: Must be Australian Citizen AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance or above Benefits: Project focused work with high performing team New growth of the agency ICT requirements Long term work planned to be delivered Work with new technology as the “CLOUD” direction is implemented Access to all the Emanate Technology Contractor Benefits
