Windows Server Engineer An initial 6 months contract with a possible extension. Exciting opportunity with a prominent financial client in Perth Seeking expererience in Windows Server, Azure, AD, DNS etc. About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to lead a critical Windows Server upgrade and migration project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, scripting, automation, networking, and security, with a successful track record in similar projects. Key Responsibilities: Plan & Design: Assess Windows Server 2012 environments and develop migration strategies. Implement & Migrate: Execute upgrades, migrations, and installations with minimal disruption. Configure & Optimize: Set up and optimize server roles, features, and security. Test & Validate: Perform testing to ensure system performance and data integrity. Document & Report: Maintain documentation and provide project updates. Support & Troubleshoot: Resolve technical issues during and after migration. Required Skills and Experience: Windows Server: Proven experience in migration, upgrades, and configuration. Azure Services: Strong knowledge of Azure VMs, networking, and security. AD & DNS: Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and certificates. Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell and IaC tools. Networking: Solid understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hyper-V or other virtualization platforms. Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and Azure.
