About the role The Desktop support engineer will be responsible in providing 1st and 2nd level support to the organisation, including end user devices, desktop applications and technical facilities like AV and meeting rooms supported by the IT team. This role will report into to the Desktop Support Manager, and you will be working 1 other engineer in supporting all internal staff. Role & responsibilities Deliver excellent customer service by keeping users informed about issue statuses and resolution timelines; Provide technical support for end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and MS Teams phones; Troubleshoot hardware, software, and first-level network issues effectively; and Configure, deploy, and maintain devices while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and security standards. Technical experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in a level 2 service desk role; Proficient in managing user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory; Knowledgeable about group policies and conditional policies in Microsoft 365; Skilled in managing end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices using MDM solutions such as Intune; Experience with VPNs and enterprise security solutions; Experience in supporting phone systems like MS Teams; Experience in supporting AV equipment (preferred); and Familiarity with cyber security practices.
