With expertise in multiple fields, they're a well recognised name in the Australian market and continue to grow The Technical Sales Engineer role requires an individual with an excellent sales background and also some understanding of electronics engineering. Note: This is a sales role but does not involve any hands-on design work. As a Sales Engineer, you will drive business growth by promoting the design and consultancy services of the company - requiring both your background in technical sales and your understanding of engineering processes. You'll work with the marketing manager to build client relationships, and deliver tailored sales and engineering proposals to clients. The role is hybrid with a few days in the Melbourne office and a few days each week working from home. Key Responsibilities: Meet with prospective clients to promote design services and unique value proposition. Use your knowledge of electronics to understand the requirements of the prospective clients Prepare detailed sales proposals, including accurate technical requirements and project estimates. Qualify, develop, negotiate, and close sales deals, ensuring they align with company objectives. Implement sales and marketing strategies, including content creation and managing marketing channels. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals. Work closely with the marketing manager and engineering team Provide regular updates on sales progress and prepare monthly sales reports. Requirements: Proficiency in business-to-business sales and negotiations. Have worked in support of electronic product design for 3 or more years in a similar role (sales, business development, FAE etc) Exposure to hardware and firmware technology, with a good understanding of electronics design processes. Ability to understand and follow marketing strategy Excellent organisational, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
