Your why The Lead DevOps position at ubank is responsible for uplifting engineering standards and setting the technical vision for our Infrastructure teams. The role will be working within our Infrastructure tribe taking the technical lead for building and operating our network/cloud infrastructure platform. It involves not only excelling in engineering, also influencing and guiding the team to implement changes that benefit the entire organization. This includes helping to drive a DevOps Culture throughout the organization. How You Will Spend Your Time Provide technical guidance and set coding standards Define technical architecture and design patterns Create and maintain documentation on technical systems Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and Designers to refine tasks Perform code reviews and mentor engineers Identify and prioritize technical debt Foster a culture of continuous improvement Align squad goals with organizational objectives and remove blockers Maintain clear communication with the Engineering Manager Promote a positive, collaborative, inclusive team culture Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing new concepts and practices to the wider Engineering team and codebase Plan for future capacity needs considering technical dependencies and skill requirements Involved in defining hiring processes What will you bring 8 years of experience as a DevOps engineer working across the stack. Deep Understanding and experience with AWS infrastructure and Networking. Deep Understanding and experience with Azure Infrastructure and Networking (Including Entra ID) Deep Understanding and experience with Kubernetes. Deep Understanding on working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling. (Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD). Understanding of different deployment strategies and their implementations (Blue Green, Canary, etc) Understanding and experience working with Zero Trust Networking technologies (Zscaler) Effective communication and collaboration skills to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong understanding of software testing and security principles and best practices including OWASP Proven track record of delivering reliable, performant, secure, and cost-effective projects in an agile environment. Deep/specialized understanding of cloud technologies with a broad general knowledge of the complete app stack (front-end, back-end). Experience in mentoring team members and improving organizational technical excellence. Experience in the banking or financial industry preferred Experience in implementing, designing robust error handling, logging and observability. Why ubank?
