Motion Recruitment is partnered with a leading global Aussie brand across a front end engineer contract role. The role will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level applications. It will be focused around enhancing system performance to deliver exceptional user experience. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust front-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies. Embed and promote best practices in software development within the team. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality solutions. Advocate for secure, performant, and scalable software design principles. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and drive their adoption within the team. Requirements: Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean software development practices, as well as the SDLC. Proficiency with version control tools like Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines. Extensive experience in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React JS, SSR, Micro Front Ends, HTML, and CSS. Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Next.js and Node.js. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Ability to research and troubleshoot complex bugs and performance issues. Strong understanding of security principles, performance optimization, and data privacy. Exceptional communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement. A problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail and ownership of deliverables. Familiarity with observability tools like DataDog would be highly ideal. The role is a 6 month contract to start off, with high opportunity for further ongoing extension. It is a day rate contract at $750 - $800 incl. Super per day based in Sydney working 2-3 days in the office. Ideal candidates will have full working rights in Australia, Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
