About the company Global Financial Services Business Flexible Hybrid set up – 2 days per week in the office 12-month contract About the role A financial services business needs a Senior Network Engineer with strong experience in VxLAN and Network Automation to join on a long-term contract as part of a network upgrade. This is a project focused role that will give you the opportunity to strategically develop the automation roadmap for the business. Duties and Responsibilities Write Python scripts to automate network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting Automate the deployment of VXLAN configurations Use CI/CD Pipelines to automate the testing of Network changes Create and maintain detailed documentation on the network automation processes Collaborate with key stakeholders and Network DevOps teams Skills and experience Strong automation focus, Python experience is a must. Good experience with VxLAN Strong communication skills Experience with version control - Github, Bitbucket Experience with CI/CD Pipelines - Jenkins, Github Actions Experience with network automation frameworks - PyATS, Ansible, Nornir, Netmiko, ROBOT Framework Strong routing and switching skills, Cisco Technologies, NXOS, STP, VPC. Exposure to Cloud – AWS Preferred
