Attractive pay rate: $770 per day super Contract until mid-May, with potential extension Hybrid work location: 4 days WFH 1 day in Clyde office Opportunity to contribute to critical transport infrastructure PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a Project Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery of track construction and heavy maintenance projects. Working in the Track planning team, you will be the liaison between Asset Management and Frontline Teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess the scope of work and provide technical advice on track construction and heavy maintenance projects. Supervise front-line delivery to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and resolve any concerns. Take ownership of achieving project outcomes within timelines and budgets. Mostly desk-based job, with one day in the office usually. Monitor and report on project progress, including scope, schedule performance, quality, cost, earned value, and estimates. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Tertiary qualifications in Track Engineering (Civil, Track) or equivalent industry experience. Proven experience in track construction, including re-rail works, replacements, and refurbishments. Ability to take initiative and actively oversee work onsite to ensure success. Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
