Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Safety / Process Safety Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC (West) business. Suitably qualified with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognised institution, ideally, you will have relevant experience in safety engineering for petroleum production / processing facilities within Australia and preferably on brownfields projects. You must be an Australian citizen OR hold Permanent Residency (PR) OR be able to work lawfully in Australia to be considered for this opportunity. If you reside outside of WA, temporary relocation assistance is available to candidates who can demonstrate proven and relevant experience in a similar role. In addition, you will have: 3 or more years of experience in formal safety assessment (FSA) studies, risk-based decision-making and the design/specification of safety critical equipment and systems Knowledge of safety regulations and applicable industry codes / standards Excellent report writing and oral communication skills Strong analytical and numerical skills Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment A “solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities What will set you apart will be your relevant experience within the petroleum production/processing facilities in Australia and your gusto to hone your experience and widen your exposure in the Technical Safety field.
