How will I help? An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Service Engineer to become part of the Infrastructure and Service Management team within Group Technology. This role involves working with the W1 project team in embedding non functionals in to the core of the platform design. Your key responsibilities include: Supporting APIs In Azure and AWS, Appian, OpenFin for Westpac One. Supporting services on enterprise landing zones (AWS, Azure). Developing monitoring dashboards in App D, Splunk and knowledge around observability (open telemetry) in working closely with program engineers, architects & solution designers. Collaborating & engaging with architectures, solution designers & engineers ensuring key non functionals requirements & SRE principles are baked in design and calling our operational risks. Managing JIRA and confluence aligning to program backlog in delivering service management tasks. Driving and developing core SRE principles for the Westpac One platform and CRISP (Appian) Document the key learnings, processes, procedures through Support Handbook. Leading through major incidents with strong analytical skills. Leading & mentoring the team of SRE engineers supporting the platform 247. Responsible for managing platform risks in BAU – following through Westpac risk management practices. Collaborating & engaging with business, technology risk, service management teams, program engineers, architects, solution designers and infrastructure teams. Collaborating & engaging with new vendors and work closely with them in driving the integrated support model aligning to service management practices. What’s in it for me? In-depth knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) – ITIL foundational certification. Intermediate level of monitoring (App D, Splunk) experience. AWS operations experience – Intermediate level Intermediate proficiency in supporting APIs, Appian and OpenFin. Foundational skills in UX at an introductory level. 5 years of People leader experience. Experience managing third party vendors & strategic partners. What’s it like to work there?
