Responsibilities - Take ownership of the operation and reliability of one of TikTok's most critical components - Videos, encompassing short videos, live streaming, and real-time communications. - Develop and maintain global infrastructure for multimedia transport, storage, and processing to serve billions of users worldwide. - Participate in global production systems management, including monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, and optimization. - Create tools, automation processes, visualizations, and monitoring systems to facilitate the operation and optimization of the global infrastructure. - Contribute to and enhance the entire service lifecycle, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement. - Construct multi-geo infrastructure across the globe, manage service capacity across regions, and balance traffic and resources on a global scale. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Recent graduates or have graduated strictly within the last 12 months - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related major involving software/system engineering - Good programming skills using at least one programming language - Knowledge of networking, operating systems, database systems, and container technology Preferred Qualifications - Passionate, self-motivated, and good team collaboration skills - Good understanding of every aspect of microservice architecture, and hands-on experience in troubleshooting in large-scale distributed systems - Hands-on experience in common open-source systems such as Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ELK - Experience in building solutions with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud services If you don’t think you're a perfect fit, you should still sign up to Hatch and create a profile, we'll match you to other roles that suit your profile.
