Hopefully not. But if you are – I have something for you. I’m working with a global SaaS company who are headquartered in Brisbane and are one of the fastest growing companies in the medtech space. Their client base is incredibly far reaching with some of the biggest names across the globe using their products. Currently, their API teams own and deploy their cloud infrastructure (primarily PaaS and SaaS on Azure and AWS) and due to the continued growth and therefore complexity of their environment, they are in need of a Platform Lead to redefine their processes & potentially technology stack. You won’t just be the 3rd or 4th person in the role – you’ll be the first. (No inheriting someone else’s work) What you will be doing: This is a busy role, and will suit someone who wants a diverse range of responsibilities. The Initial 3 core areas you will be focusing on include: Improving Security & Compliance as their environment scales and of course (become more complex) Improving Infrastructure-as-Code: Refining the reference implementation of an API (currently using Bicep and Terraform). Leading the design and implementation of best practices for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (using GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy). Your background: Demonstrated expertise in deploying and managing Azure cloud platforms, gained through a senior DevOps or platform engineering role, or a leadership position in the field. Worked with a number of the Azure Paas offerings (Azure Web Application Firewalls and Virtual Networks, App Service, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Storage Account, Backup Vault, Application Insights) Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code – ideally Terraform & Bicep Strong skills in working with CI/CD Pipelines – ideally Github Actions & Octopus Deploy Ideally, you will have some experience working with AWS – however that is not required Further benefits: A training budget to pursue certifications and further development.
