181212 month contract - July 25 start $155 - $195 per hour (inc-Super) - market estimate / negotiable Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth address Must hold TSPV Security Clearance Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on foreign signals intelligence, military operations, cyber warfare and information security, are Seeking the experience of a Senior Network Engineer for a long 181212 month contract, based in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth. Duties of the Senior Network Engineer Establish and lead network planning for own area of responsibility and designs the infrastructure necessary to provide the network services to meet service level agreements. Analyse very complex network engineering issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend courses of action. Responsible for significant aspects of the installation, upgrade, operation, control and effective use of local and wide area networks for the communication of data, voice, audio, text or images. Undertake network installations in accordance with detailed design documentation and guidance. Maintain and apply detailed knowledge and experience related to the current Defence and industry accepted network hardware and software products. Skills and Experience Required A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields. Strong understanding of network fundamentals, such as protocols, architectures, devices, topologies and standards. Ability to design and implement network solutions that meet the business & technical requirements. Knowledge & experience of network security. Proficient in network automation. Proven experience in network systems configuration, testing & installations.
