About the role: To excel in this role, you will be a qualified and experienced in Water and/or Drainage Management . This role requires the ability to create and design flood mitigation and management protocols in wetlands. This includes hands on experience with the use of soak wells, basons and other methods of water drainage to ensure the safety of the area. You will need to support and coordinate the team to deliver on flood response protocols and mitigation. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be responsible for rapid response to deal with flooding in the area. Key Responsibilities: Lead investigations, monitoring and data analysis to determine root cause of systemic asset and network reliability, performance and risk issues and provide guidance and input to strategic, planning, and operational solutions. Must be able to consult and implement rapid response to emergency flooding. Make and maintain accurate records and project notes. Understanding and implementation of drainage in wetlands, appropriate use of soak wells and basons. Must be able to coordinate a team to repair damage caused by floods in the area. Create and design flood mitigation and management protocols. Support and coordinate the delivery of flood response protocols and mitigation. The Successful Candidate: Tertiary qualification plus experience in a discipline related to water and/or wastewater conveyance networks. Experience working in flood mitigation and response is a must. Excellent communication skills to coordinate a team. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Self-Motivated with the ability to work with the team and autonomously to provide positive outcomes. A Valid Class “C” Driver’s License. A Valid Police Clearance Check within the last 3 months.
