Location : ACT Security Clearance : Must be able to obtain Baseline The ICT Operations Branch provides ICT support and underpinning infrastructure services to the department and the Ministers’ Offices, ensuring all staff in the department and MOs have access to stable and secure technology. The ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms section falls within the ICT Operations Branch. The Infrastructure Platforms team is responsible for the management of all data centers, virtualization, automation, storage, backup and restore capability. The team is also responsible for providing after hours on-call support for our infrastructure. The team is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who specialises in Automation and Virtualisation to support its objectives over the engagement period. Key duties and responsibilities The Senior Automation and Virtualization Specialist will be responsible for managing and improving the Department’s Aria Automation, NSX-T and VMware vSphere environment and server infrastructure (rack mounted and blade servers) as part of the Infrastructure Platforms team. The person will be also accountable for developing monitoring systems such as Aria Operations. The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations documents, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members. Requirements Essential criteria Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies: • Aria Automation 8.x • Aria Orchestrator • VMware NSX-T • VMware vSphere • Aria Operations • Site Recovery Manager Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in few of the following: • PowerShell • PowerCLI • YAML • JavaScript Ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff. Desirable criteria Experience in administering one or more of the following: • HPE DL, BL, XL and Synergy Servers • HPE OneView and Interconnects • Veeam Backup and Replication
