ConsultANZ is seeking a Senior Project Engineer skilled in pavements/roads is required for a national main contractor based in Sydney. Main Duties As a SPE, your responsibilities include (but is not limited to): Managing surfacing and pavement work in and around the Sydney area. Assisting with the leadership of a large, dedicated team. Managing various concurrent projects; both large and small. Planning and programming of works including resourcing of the projects for plant and labour resources. Client liaison, through direct contact with your direct reports managing and maintaining the quality of the works. Managing and controlling H&S elements at all times. Directly monitoring, controlling and reporting cost on projects. Requirements Minimum 6-8 years of experience, and holds a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or similar. Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technically challenging projects, particularly involving technical pavement related through on-site supervision and management of onsite activities. Previous work history with an established Construction/Asphalting/Surfacing Company. A good understanding and demonstrative experience of pavement types, standard surfacing and asphalting practices, including supervision of laying, quantifying and ordering of materials, testing and monitoring of quality. Be practical-minded and work with a hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills. Benefits A package that is in line with the technical nature of the role which includes a salary of between $120k – $140k super allowances, negotiable dependent on experience.
